Mr Simpson's Sky Dive
On Sunday 3rd July, Mr Simpson put his fears to the side and jumped out of a plane to raise funds for school to buy some additional playground equipment. It was a truly incredible achievement and we were all very proud of him. Look out for more information coming soon with what new equipment we will be buying!

Football Fundraiser Match
On Saturday 25th June, we held our very first Football Fundraiser Match - Ridgeway Rams [made up of family members of staff] v Family United. It was a huge success - the turn out was incredible! All money raised will be used to buy additional playground equipment . . . look out for more information coming soon. The game ended 1:1 and had to be decided by penalties - Ridgeway Rams came out victorious! This will definitely be an event we look at running again!
Thank you to Jacob C Dad in Class 9 for helping us with the pitch - Powerstation Pitch in Wilington

The Great Ridgeway Hike!
School Fundraising
Inspired by Mrs Patel's hike to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro in December, The children of Ridgeway have completed our own fundraising challenge!
Clambering over rocky benches, trekking though the swampland at the bottom of the field, through the grasslands past the wildlife area and over the very treacherous hill, where a mud slide might have occurred at any moment, the brave Ridgeway children journeyed on . Thank goodness for our cheer-leading team and our parents/carers who were there to support us when the going got tough.
Mrs Patel hiked 5,895m up Mt Kilimanjaro. When we added up how far every child had walked, we were amazed to discover that the Ridgeway children had hiked 119,500m - which is the same as hiking up Mt Kilimanjaro over 20 times!
Well done to everyone!
