Topics

We organise our curriculum in year group topics with each group studying specific units of work, ensuring full coverage of the National Curriculum.

Foundation Stage

The children in the Reception Classes follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum, which covers the six key areas of learning.  These are:

  • Social
  • Physical
  • Creative
  • Communications and Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world.

Our fun curriculum is based on play, which is the best way to encourage children to think and learn.  Activities and experiences will be organised so that they relate to children’s interests and deepen their levels of motivation and confidence.

Key Stage One

Children in Years 1 and 2 follow the Key Stage One Curriculum and study English, Mathematics, Information Communication Technology (ICT), Science, History, Geography, Design and Technology, Physical Education (PE), Art and Design, Music, Religious Education (RE) and Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE).
